Lindsey Wild scored her first career goal on Friday.
ST. PAUL, MN - The Lake Forest women's hockey team traveled to Bethel College this weekend (November 23-24th) and came away with a 3-3 tie Friday night and a 3-0 loss on Saturday. The Foresters' overall record is now 4-3-1.

On Friday, Lake Forest got on the scoreboard first when freshman forward Lindsey Wild (Inver Grove Heights, MN) scored her first career goal off a pass from freshman forward Robyn Shea (St. John's, Newfoundland).

Bethel tied the score in the first period and then took a two-goal lead with a pair of second period scores.

The Foresters scored twice in the third period to tie the score. The team's second goal of the game was scored by junior forward Robyn Slater (Granite City, IL), who lit the lamp for the 13th time this season. Wild recorded her fifth assist of the year on Slater's score. Lake Forest tied the game when sophomore Lydia Groskin (Stowe, VT) found the back of the net for the third time in 2001-02. Assisting on the game-tying goal were Slater and junior forward Lara Scheibner (Grosse Pointe, MI).

Sophomore goaltender Theresa Taylor (Spartanburg, SC) saved 33 of 36 shots, including all 20 in the third period and overtime, combined.

On Saturday, the Foresters were unable to get any of their 34 shots past the Bethel goalie. The Royals scored once in the second period and twice in the third to collect the 3-0 victory. The third goal was scored on a Lake Forest empty net.

The Foresters will play their fifth and sixth consecutive games on the road next weekend (November 30th-December 1st) when they travel to UW-River Falls to play the Falcons on Friday night (7:30 pm) and Saturday afternoon (2:00 pm). The Foresters will finally play at home again the following weekend (December 8-9th) when they host UW-Stevens Point.
