Sophomore had two goals and an assist on the weekend

Courtney DeHoey recorded her fourth career two-goal game.
LAKE FOREST, IL - Lake Forest College women’s hockey player Courtney DeHoey (Chatham, ON/Bluewater Jr. Hawks) was named Northern Collegiate Hockey Association Player of the Week Monday (November 28) for her performance in a pair of Forester victories at Concordia College’s Cobber Thanksgiving Tournament over the weekend (November 25-26).

DeHoey, a sophomore forward, scored a pair of goals in Lake Forest’s 8-3 defeat of Hamline University on Friday. Her first score closed out the scoring in the opening period and her second led off the second. The latter also put the Foresters ahead 4-0 and turned out to be the game winning score. It was her second two-goal game of the season and fourth of her career.

DeHoey also recorded an assist on Saturday in a 4-0 blanking of host Concordia.

She is now second on the team this year with 15 points, tied-for-second with eight assists, and third with seven goals.

Northern Collegiate Hockey Association Players of the Week are selected by the league’s sports information director.
