Sadi Coutts (#10) was the team's 2001 Most Valuable Player and Carinn Rasak (#16) was the Most Improved Player.
LAKE FOREST, IL - Forester head women's soccer coach T.R. Bell announced his team's special award winners Sunday (December 2nd) afternoon at the Lake Forest College Fall Sports Awards Ceremony at the 1st Presbyterian Church of Lake Forest.

Senior forward Sandi Coutts (Round Lake, IL/College of Lake County) was named the team's Most Valuable Player. Coutts led the team in both goals and assists this season. In 16 games, she found the back of the net 13 times and set up a teammate's score 10 times. Both her goals and assists totals are tied for fifth in the school's all-time single-season record book and her 36 points are the fourth-highest total.

Despite playing only two seasons at Lake Forest, Coutts ranks 11th all-time in points and tied for ninth in goals. Her per game average for both goals and points place her second on the program's all-time list.

Freshman forward Carinn Rasak (Santa Fe, NM/Santa Fe Prepoaratory) was voted the team's Most Improved Player. Rasak scored six goals and added five assists in her rookie season. She played in all but one game and was in the starting line-up 12 times. In Lake Forest's 3-2 loss in the MWC Tournament, Rasak scored the team's first goal and assisted on the tying goal that sent the game into overtime.

Approximately 200 people were in attendance for this year's awards ceremony. Awards were handed out to all varsity letter-winners from the school's six fall sports - women's soccer, football, men's soccer, volleyball, cross country and women's tennis.
