Lake Forest, Ill. – The All-Midwest Conference women’s soccer teams were released Thursday (November 16) and three Lake Forest players made the list. Sophomore Katie Rice (Centennial, Colo./Eaglecrest) was named to the first team while freshmen Jocelyn Maneval (Fairfax,Va./James W. Robinson) and Monica Thomas (Los Gatos, Calif./Los Gatos) were each second team choices.

Rice led the team with five goals and 11 points despite playing more than half of the season at sweeper. She now has 30 points on 13 goals and four assists in her two-year career.

Maneval was second on the squad with four goals and 10 points on the season. Each of her goals came during league play.

Thomas began the season at forward and moved to sweeper late in the year. She recorded a goal and an assist, both against Ripon College in the team’s MWC opener.

It was the Foresters' fourth consecutive season with at least three players earning all-conference status. It was the first time since 1988 that two Lake Forest freshmen were honored. The squad posted an 8-9 overall record in 2006 and a 6-3 mark in league play. The team advanced to the four-team MWC Tournament for the 11th time in the last 13 years but was defeated in the semifinals.
