LAKE FOREST, Ill. - The All-Midwest Conference women’s soccer teams were released Friday (November 21) and four Lake Forest College players made the lists, including a repeat first teamer and a four-time all-conference selection.

Senior Mallory Davis (Whitefish Bay, Wis./Whitefish Bay) was named First Team All-MWC for the second straight season. As the Foresters’ sweeper, Davis anchored a defense that recorded seven shutouts on the season and 16 in the last two years. Lake Forest's 19 opponents averaged just 5.5 shots on goal per game and Forester foes attempted just 4.6 shots on goal per contest during league play.

Senior midfielder Katie Rice (Centennial, Colo./Eaglecrest), sophomore defender Emily Weber (Cincinnati, Ohio/Seven Hills Upper School), and freshman midfielder Kat Mikuta (Greenwich, Conn./Greenwich) were Lake Forest's three Second Team All-MWC honorees. Rice was also on the second team last year and in 2005 and was a first team selection in 2006. She tied for the team lead this season with four goals and ranked second on the squad with 10 points. She ranks 15th in team history with 54 career points. Weber recorded seven points on three goals and an assist on the year and helped Davis and the rest of the defense allow just 1.7 goals per game. Mikuta matched Rice's four goals despiute missing the last four games of the season due to injury.

It was the sixth time this decade and the eighth in the 12 years since divisional play in the league ended that four Foresters earned all-conference honors.

Lake Forest posted an 9-9-1 overall record and a 7-2-0 mark in league play. The Foresters placed third in the MWC regular season standings and fell in the MWC Tournament semifinals to eventual tourney champion Carroll University.
