Melissa Stevenson Earns First Team Academic All-District Honors
Junior was a second team selection last year

Melissa Stevenson has been successful both in the classroom and on the soccer field.
LAKE FOREST, IL - Lake Forest College women’s soccer player Melissa Stevenson (Littleton, CO/Dakota Ridge) was named to the 2004 Academic All-District V College Division First Team on Thursday (November 4). Voting for the award is done by members of the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

Stevenson, a junior, led the 2004 Foresters with 14 goals and 36 points. The three-time First Team All-Midwest Conference player ranks second in team history with 40 goals, 28 assists, and 108 points so far in her career. Last season she set single-season school records with 51 points and 17 assists and earned second team academic all-district honors.

She is a two-time Academic All-MWC honoree and was the College’s Freshman Scholar Athlete following the 2002-03 academic year. She earned the same award as a sophomore for her performance in the classroom in 2003-04.
