Foresters Sweep Midwest Conference Players of the Week
Durant on Offense, LaFin on Defense

LAKE FOREST, IL - Lake Forest College women's soccer players Jocelyn Durant (Old Greenwich, CT/Berkshire) and Rachael LaFin (Glen Ellyn, IL/Glenbard West) have been selected as the Midwest Conference offensive and defensive players of the week, respectively.

Durant, a freshman midfielder, scored her first career goal with 1:25 remaining in regulation to tie the score at two at Grinnell College on Saturday (October 8th). The game ended in a 2-2 tie. On Sunday (October 9th), Durant recorded her first career assist in a 3-0 home victory over Beloit College.

LaFin, a sophomore goalie, saved 15 of the 17 shots on goal she faced in the tie at Grinnell and recorded her first shutout of the season and fifth of her career against Beloit. She has played every minute of all nine Forester games this year and has a record of 6-2-1. Her goals against average is a paltry 1.26 and she has saved 84.8% of the shots on goal she has faced.

The Midwest Conference Players of the Week are selected by the league's Sports Information Directors.
