LAKE FOREST, IL - The Lake Forest College women's soccer team
"did their folks proud" on Parents' Day (Saturday, October 14th) as they
defeated Monmouth College 5-0 in front of more than 150 fans at Nicholas
Wasylik Field. The victory raised the home team's record to 7-3-1 overall
and 5-1-1 in the Midwest Conference.
The statistical contributions came from everywhere for the Foresters
as four different players scored goals, five recorded assists and 16 took
at least one shot. Junior Sandi
Coutts (Round Lake, IL/College of Lake County) scored two of the goals,
her 7th and 8th on the year. Freshman Aviva
Landin (Evanston, IL/Evanston Township) scored her 2nd of the season
and seniors Kim
Sponsel (San Diego, CA/Mira Mesa) and Beth
Kohr (Franklin, OH/Franklin) each scored their 4th. Assists came from
