Lake Forest Falls in Regular Season Finale at Carroll
Team will be #2 or #3 seed in Midwest Conference Tournament


WAUKESHA, Wis. - The Forester women’s soccer team was defeated 3-0 at Carroll College Wednesday evening. Lake Forest is now 10-7-1 overall and finished its Midwest Conference schedule with a 7-2-0 record. The Lady Pioneers raised their overall record to 13-2-1 and league mark to 7-0-0.

Carroll scored for the first time in the game just less than 10 minutes into the contest and led 2-0 at halftime after adding a goal at 26:58. The Lady Pioneers tacked on one score goal at 54:09.

Forester junior Alison Lynch (Dunlap, Ill./Peoria Notre Dame) recorded nine saves in the contest.

Lake Forest had already clinched a spot in next weekend’s (November 3-4) four-team MWC Tournament with a pair of league victories last weekend (October 20-21). The Foresters will be either the number two or three seed in the event and play in Saturday’s 11:00 a.m. semifinal. The tournament final will be played at noon on Sunday.
