MEQUON, WI - Although the Lake Forest College women's soccer team scored just one goal on Thursday (October 4th) at Concordia University, it stopped the Falcons from scoring any. The Foresters improved their record to 7-2-0 on the season with the 1-0 shutout.

Junior goalkeeper Rachael LaFin (Glen Ellyn, IL/Glenbard West) registered her second solo shutout of the season by stopping both the Concordia shots that were on goal. Lake Forest had 16 total shot attempts in the game while holding the home team to just 6.

The Foresters' only goal was scored by sophomore forward Aviva Landin (Evanston, IL/Evanston Township) at the 18:18 mark (Landin also wears #18) of the first period. Senior midfielder Sarah Klerk (Augusta, MI/Gull Lake) assisted on the goal. It was the second goal for Landin and the second assist for Klerk on the year.

Lake Forest will be on the road again this weekend (October 6-7th) when they travel to Illinois College for a Saturday afternoon (1:00) game and visit Monmouth College on Sunday (11:00).
