LAKE FOREST, IL - Lake Forest College women’s soccer player Katie Rice (Centennial, CO/Eaglecrest) was named Midwest Conference Offensive Performer of the Week Monday (September 12) for her contributions to three Forester victories in the previous seven days.

Rice, a freshman midfielder, scored a pair of goals in her collegiate debut at Concordia University last Tuesday (September 6). They were her team’s first two goals of the season and helped lead the squad to a 3-1 victory in the game.

Rice found the back of the net a total of three times in two league games over the weekend (September 10-11). She scored once in the Foresters’ 8-0 triumph at home over Knox College on Saturday and recorded her second career two-goal game in a 6-0 victory at Ripon College on Sunday.

Rice’s five goals lead Lake Forest and she ranks second on the team with 10 points.
