Katie Rice Named Forester Athlete of the Week
Freshman scored three goals in two league games

 Katie Rice leads the Foresters with five goals on the year.
LAKE FOREST, IL - Lake Forest College women’s soccer player Katie Rice (Centennial, CO/Eaglecrest) was named Forester Athlete of the Week Thursday (September 15) after helping lead her team to Midwest Conference victories over Knox College and Ripon College over the weekend (September 10-11).

Rice scored her first goal of the weekend early in the second half during the Foresters’ 8-0 triumph over Knox on Saturday. It was the freshman forward’s third goal of the year.

On Sunday, she accounted for the squad’s second and fifth goals in a 6-0 shutout at Ripon.

Rice leads Lake Forest with five goals after just three games. She was also named Midwest Conference Offensive Performer of the Week on Tuesday (September 13).

The Forester Athlete of the Week is chosen by members of the Athletic Department on Thursdays.
