LAKE FOREST, Ill. – Lake Forest College women’s soccer player Emily Weber (Cincinnati, Ohio/Seven Hills Upper School) was named Midwest Conference Defensive Performer of the Week on Monday (September 17) for her performance in a pair of Forester shutouts at home over the weekend (September 15-16).

Weber, a freshman defender, scored her second career goal in the first half of the Foresters’ 8-0 rout of Knox College on Saturday. She also helped limit the Prairie Fire to just one shot in the entire game.

Lake Forest also shut out visiting Albion College 2-0 on Sunday. Weber and the rest of the home team’s defense held the Britons to just 11 total shots and five on goal in the contest.
