Lake Forest Falls at St. Norbert 
Record drops to 3-3

DE PERE, WI - The Forester women's soccer team lost a 3-1 decision Saturday (September 21) at St. Norbert College. The defeat leaves Lake Forest with a 3-3 record overall and a 1-2 mark in the Midwest Conference.

The Foresters actually led at halftime after sophomore Kristen Fink (Menasha, WI/St. Mary Central) scored her second goal of the season with just 36 seconds remaining in the period. Fellow sophomore Mei-Yun Gibson (Aurora, CO/Eaglecrest) was credited with the assist, her first of the year.

The second half was all St. Norbert, however. The Knights tied the score in the 53rd minute and took the lead roughly 15 minutes later. They added an insurance goal with less than four minutes to play to seal the victory.

Forester senior goalkeeper Rachael LaFin (Glen Ellyn, IL/Glenbard West) tallied a season-high 12 saves in the loss.

Lake Forest will travel to the University of Chicago on Tuesday (September 24) for a 4:00 p.m. game against the Maroons. The team's homecoming game will be next Saturday (September 28) at noon against Carthage College.
