LAKE FOREST, IL - The Lake Forest College women's soccer team hosted the University of Chicago, the #18 team in Division III Tuesday (September 25th) with hopes of pulling off the upset and extending their 10-game home winning streak to a school record 11 straight. While they held the Maroons to just one goal, the Foresters were unable to find the back of the net even once and suffered their first loss of the season by a score of 1-0.

After the teams played a scoreless first half, the Maroon's Cherish Orozco broke the tie and scored the game's only goal less than three minutes into the second period.

Though Chicago held a 13-7 advantage in total shot attempts, both teams put five shots on goal. Junior goalkeeper Rachael LaFin (Glen Ellyn, IL/Glenbard West) stopped four of those five and still has a goals against average of 0.72.

The Foresters will look to rebound this weekend (September 29-30th) when they play two Midwest Conference games. On Saturday they will host Grinnell College at 11:00 am and on Sunday they will play at Beloit College at 1:00 pm. Lake Forest is currently 5-1 overall and 2-0 in the MWC.
