Melissa Stevenson Named Forester Athlete of the Week
Sophomore contributes on all four goals during 1-0-1 week

Melissa Stevenson leads the team with six goals and seven assists.
MEQUON, WI - Sophomore forward Melissa Stevenson (Littleton, CO/Dakota Ridge) was named Forester Athlete of the Week for the week of September 19-25 after leading the women's soccer team to another undefeated week. Continuing her offensive assault on the opposition, Stevenson played a part in all four goals scored by the Foresters in two matches.

Opening the week with conference rival, St. Norbert College, the Foresters were down 1-0 midway through the second half when Stevenson booted in her fourth goal of the season to tie the score at one.  That goal proved to be a difference maker when, after two overtimes, the game concluded with a 1-1 tie.

Three days later in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Stevenson picked up where she left off by tying the score just 37 seconds into the second half. Four and a half minutes later, she assisted on Lake Forest's game winning goal and later added on more assist en route to a 3-1 victory over Concordia University.

On the season, Stevenson ranks first on the team with six goals and seven assists.

Forester Athlete of the week is voted on by the Lake Forest Athletic Department Staff on Thursday.
