LAKE FOREST, IL - For the first time since the end of the 1999 season, the Forester women's soccer team has lost two consecutive games. After falling to the University of Chicago, #18 team in the nation on Tuesday (September 25th), a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Grinnell College on Saturday (September 29th) made it two in a row.

Grinnell scored the first two goals of the game in slightly more than 22 minutes of play while holding Lake Forest scoreless in the first half.

Freshman forward Carinn Rasak (Santa Fe, NM/Santa Fe Prepoaratory) pulled Lake Forest to within a goal when she scored for the fourth time this season with 36:40 to play. Senior forward Sandi Coutts (Round Lake, IL/College of Lake County) recorded her fourth assist of 2001 on the goal.

Rasak's score turned out to be the last of the game for either team as the Foresters' overall record drops to 5-2-0 on the season and their Midwest Conference mark falls to 2-1-0. Grinnell is 3-1-1 in MWC games.

Lake Forest will travel to Beloit College tomorrow (September 30th) for a 1:00 pm game against the Buccaneers, who are 3-4-0 on the season and 1-2-0 in the MWC.
