Foresters Need Extra Time to Get Win Over Lawrence
Record now 5-2-0 overall and 3-1-0 in MWC

APPLETON, WI - The Lake Forest College women's soccer team rebounded from their overtime loss on Wednesday (September 27th) with a 2-1 overtime victory Saturday (September 30th) at Lawrence University.

Less than 7 minutes after Lawrence took a 1-0 lead with 34 minutes to go in regulation, sophomore midfielder Dana Tate (Appleton, WI/Appleton East) scored her second goal of the season to tie the score. The nets stayed empty until, with 2:05 to go in overtime, junior midfielder Stacy Gunstream (Fort Collins, CO/Rocky Mountain) picked the perfect opportunity to score her first goal of 2000.

Junior Stacy Gunstream's
first goal of 2000 was the
game-winner at Lawrence.
As she has in each of the team's 5 wins this season, sophomore goalie Rachael LaFin (Glen Ellyn, IL/Glenbard West) allowed exactly one goal. She has played every minute this season for the Foresters and shares their 5-2-0 overall record and a Midwest Conference record of 3-1-0.

The team will travel to Grinnell College next Saturday (October 7th) to take on the 1999 Midwest Conference Champion at 11:00 AM. The Foresters will then return home to play Beloit College on Sunday (October 8th) at 1:00 PM in another MWC match-up.
