Lake Forest Defeated by Milwaukee School of Engineering

LAKE FOREST, Ill. – The Forester women's soccer team fell 3-1 to Milwaukee School of Engineering in its first home game of the 20087 season Wednesday (September 3) evening. Lake Forest is now 0-3-0 on the year while the Raiders raised their record to 3-0-0.

Junior midfielder Monica Thomas (Los Gatos, Calif./Los Gatos) put the Foresters on the scoreboard first just five minutes and 18 seconds in to the contest. She was assisted by sophomore midfielder Bianca Greene (Santa Monica, Calif./Santa Monica) and sophomore forward Mackenzie Yates (Albuquerque, N.M./Sandia Preparatory School).

M.S.O.E., however, converted a penalty kick at 39:42 to tie the score and pulled away with second-half goals at 53:27 and 70:52.

Lake Forest will host Benedictine University at 5:00 Friday evening (September 5) before opening up the Midwest Conference portion of its schedule at Knox College at 1:00 the next afternoon.
