GALESBURG, Ill. – The Forester women's soccer team began the Midwest Conference portion of its 2008 schedule with a 6-0 triumph at Knox College Saturday afternoon (September 6). Lake Forest is now 2-3-0 overall on the year while the Prairie Fire fell to 0-3-0.

The only goal of the first half was actually a crossing pass by Forester senior midfielder Katie Rice (Centennial, Colo./Eaglecrest) that deflected off a Knox defender into the goal at 23:51. Rice was credited with her second goal of the season and 20th of her career.

Freshman midfielder Kat Mikuta (Greenwich, Conn./Greenwich) started the second-half scoring less than eight minutes into the period with her second score of the year. She was assisted by sophomore midfielder Bianca Greene (Santa Monica, Calif./Santa Monica), who added a goal of her own less than a minute later.
