Foresters 5-0 After 6-3 Defeat of North Central
Lake Forest moves to 4-0 on the season

LAKE FOREST, IL - The Lake Forest College women's tennis team defeated North Central College by a score of 6-3 Wednesday (September 12th) to extend their season-opening winning streak to five matches. The loss is the first of the year for North Central.

Lake Forest took four of the six singles matches to put themselves within one point of winning the match. Sophomore Sarah Roberts (Plainfield, IL/Lyons Township) won at number two to keep her singles record for the season perfect at 4-0. Freshmen Yasmine Farag (Lake Forest, IL/Lake Forest) and Maren Haag (Moraga, CA/Campolindo) also remained undefeated on the year (3-0 each) by winning at numbers four and six, respectively. At number five, junior Jackie Pieczkiewicz (Grayslake, IL/Grayslake Community) raised her overall singles record to 4-1.

In doubles action, Lake Forest took two of the three matches to seal the team victory. Roberts and senior Jamie Irons (Neenah, WI/Neenah) continued to roll at number one doubles by winning their fifth match of the season without a loss. Senior Kendra Reilly (Oyster Bay, NY/Cold Spring Harbor) teamed up with Farag at the number two position and raised their overall record to 3-0.

The 5-0 Foresters will travel to Dominican University on Friday (September 14th) for their next match, which will begin at 3:00 pm.
