Improve to 3-0 with victory over Concordia University (WI)

Head Coach Chris Conger
Senior Jackie Pieczkiewicz helped Lake Forest with a flawless win at #4  singles
LAKE FOREST, IL - The Lake Forest College women's tennis team continued its winning ways with another decisive win over a non-conference opponent. Playing host to Concordia University (WI), the Foresters won seven of nine matches to ensure their perfect record for yet another week.

Once again, balanced play was the story of the day as each of the eight Foresters recorded at least one victory versus the visiting Falcons. Senior Jackie Pieczkiewicz (Grayslake, IL/Grayslake Community) opened the day with a flawless win at number four singles (6-0, 6-0), setting the tone for the rest of the afternoon. Freshman Brittany Richardson (Little Rock, AR/Central) remained undefeated in singles and doubles play by again tallying two wins. Making her debut at number two singles, Richardson cruised to a straight-set victory (6-4, 6-3) before teaming with junior Abbey Jennings (Logan, OH/Logan) to take their number two doubles match (8-2). Jennings also won her number six singles match (7-5, 6-0) to improve to 2-0 on the day and secure the victory for Lake Forest.

The Foresters will continue their non-conference schedule Monday (September 16th) when they welcome Mount Mary College to Lake Forest. The match will take place on the courts behind the Sports Center and is scheduled to begin at 3:00 p.m. Lake Forest then faces a familiar opponent when they host defending Midwest Conference champion Beloit College on Thursday (September 19th) starting at 3:00 p.m.
