Abbey Jennings extended her career singles record to 14-2
LAKE FOREST, IL - The Lake Forest College Women's tennis team took to the road this past weekend and came away empty-handed in two tries. After falling in the first match to fellow MWC opponent St. Norbert College 6-3 on Saturday (September 13), the Foresters tried their luck versus Carthage College on Sunday but were defeated 9-0, dropping their season record to 1-3.

Contributing in the match at St. Norbert College was freshman Greer Stenberg (Cape Elizabeth, ME). Stenberg fought her way to a three set win at number one singles (6-0, 2-6, 6-1). Continuing their winning ways were freshman Jill Chudacoff (Highland Park, IL) and senior Abbey Jennings (Logan, OH). Both Chudacoff and Jennings kept their perfect singles records in tact with 6-3, 6-3 and 6-0, 6-2 wins at number four and five singles, respectively.

Lake Forest continues its tough non-conference schedule when it travels to Wheaton College on Tuesday (September 16). The match is slated to begin at 3:30 p.m. The Foresters will then open Midwest Conference play on Saturday (September 20) when they travel to Jacksonville, Illinois, where they will take on Grinnell College and Illinois College. The matches are scheduled for 12:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m., respectively.
