Foresters Fall 6-3 at Carroll University
Visitors win at #1, #2, and #4 singles

WAUKESHA, Wis. - The Lake Forest College women's tennis team dropped a 6-3 decision at Carroll University on Monday (September 15). The Foresters fell to 2-3 on the season while the Lady Pioneers raised their record to 3-2.

After being swept in the three doubles matches, the Foresters won three of six in singles. Freshmen Nonie Carson (Littleton, Colo./Littleton) won 6-3, 6-4 at the top spot in the lineup and classmate Allison Hamel (Bend, Ore./Bend) prevailed 6-4, 7-5 at #2. Sophomore Lauren Stroner (Johnsburg, Ill./Johnsburg) raised her record on the year at #4 singles to 5-0 with a 4-6, 7-5, (11-9) triumph.

The Foresters will play their entire Midwest Conference South Division schedule this weekend (September 20-21). The team will play at Knox College Saturday morning at 9:00 and at Monmouth College at 2:00 that afternoon. On Sunday Lake Forest will return to Monmouth to take on Grinnell College at 9:00 a.m. and Illinois College at noon.
