Foresters Fall 5-4 to St. Norbert
Berry and Wapotish each win twice

Lake Forest, Ill. - The Lake Forest College women’s tennis team suffered its first loss of the 2006 season, a 5-4 decision to St. Norbert College at home on Saturday (September 16). The Foresters are now 3-1 on the year and the Green Knights improved to 2-3.

Lake Forest took two of the three doubles matches. Junior Alli Berry (Plymouth, Minn./Robbinsdale Armstrong) and senior Anastasia Rudkovskaya (Arlington Heights, Ill./Buffalo Grove) won 8-2 at the top position and junior Jaime Jackson (Milwaukee, Wisc./Divine Savior-Holy Angels) teamed up with senior Kendall Wapotish (McHenry, Ill./McHenry) for an 8-1 triumph at number two.

Berry and Wapotish were also victorious in singles play. Berry captured a 6-1, 6-4 win at number one and Wapotish prevailed 6-0, 6-3 at number four.

The Foresters will host another Midwest Conference North Division foe in Beloit College on Wednesday (September 20). The match will begin at 3:00 p.m.
