Women's Tennis Gets Back on Winning Track With 8-1 Win Over NC
Improve to 4-1 on the season 

NAPERVILLE, IL - The Lake Forest College women's tennis team won for the fourth time in five matches this season, winning 8-1 at North Central College on Monday (September 18th). 

The Foresters have outscored their opponents 23-3 in their four wins, while being outscored 9-0 in their only loss (at Carthage College on September 17th). 

Lake Forest won five of the six singles matches and swept all three doubles matches to claim Monday's non-conference win. All of the Forester's wins were straight set victories. 

The Forester's top four players picked up wins in both singles and doubles. Shannon Sobieski won 6-2, 6-2 at No. 1 singles and paired with Jamie Irons to win 8-3 at No. 2 doubles. Irons won her No. 4 singles match, 6-0, 6-1. Sophomores Kendra Reilly and Angie Kral, after winning at No. 3 and No. 4 singles, respectively, teamed up at No. 1 doubles. The duo won handily, 8-1. The other LF wins came from Jackie Pieczkiewicz at No. 5 singles, 6-0, 6-0, and from Robyn Slater and Laura Lauterbach at No. 3 doubles, 8-5. 

On Wednesday (September 20th), Lake Forest will host Beloit College. The match will serve as Parents' Day, Senior Day, and Homecoming for the team.
