Lake Forest Drops First Match of the Season to Beloit College
Fall to defending MWC champions 2-7 on rain soaked afternoon

Head Coach Chris Conger
Senior Jackie Pieczkiewicz is seven wins away from setting a new school record.
LAKE FOREST, IL - The Lake Forest College women's tennis team saw their perfect record disappear Thursday (September 19th) when they faced defending MWC champions Beloit College in a non-conference match-up.  The Foresters battled hard, but eventually fell to the visiting Buccaneers and saw their season record fall to 4-1.

Senior Jackie Pieczkiewicz (Grayslake, IL/Grayslake Community) continued her stellar play by winning her number four singles match (8-1).  Pieczkiewicz's win left her perfect season record in tact and moved her within six wins of the schools all-time record.  Also victorious for the Foresters was freshman Brittany Richardson (Little Rock, AR/Central) at number two singles.  Richardson fought off a late rally to defeat her opponent (8-6) and improve her season record to 5-0.

Lake Forest will get back into conference play with three road matches scheduled over the next two days.  On Saturday (September 21) the Foresters open with Knox College in Galesburg, Illinois at 11:30 a.m.  Later that day they will travel to Monmouth, Illinois to face Monmouth College at 2:30 p.m.  The Foresters will finish up with Grinnell College on Sunday (September 22) in Monmouth, Illinois.  That match is scheduled to begin at 10:00 a.m.
