September 21, 2005 Contact: Mike Wajerski, SID Lake Forest Splits Pair of Weekday Matches on the Road Forester Head Coach Chris Conger shook up the doubles lineups at Beloit and put sophomore Alli Berry (Plymouth, MN/Robbinsdale Armstrong) and junior Anastasia Rudkovskaya (Buffalo Grove, IL/Buffalo Grove) together at number one, where they posted a convincing 8-1 victory. Senior Brittany Richardson (Little Rock, AR/Central) and junior Kendal Wapotish (McHenry, IL/McHenry) teamed up for an 8-5 win at number two and senior Jill Chudacoff (Highland Park, IL/Highland Park) paired with freshman Anne Demere (Savannah, GA/Saint Vincent's Academy) for an 8-4 triumph at number three. The only zero in the results came in the first set of Berry’s 6-0, 6-3 win at number one singles. Richardson dropped a first-set tiebreaker 16-14 at number two singles before rallying to take the last two sets 6-2 and 6-3. Chudacoff and Rudkovskaya won by the same 6-3, 6-3 score at numbers three and four, respectively, and Wapotish claimed a 7-5, 6-2 victory at five. Demere’s 7-6 (8-6), 6-4 triumph at number six was her second win in as many collegiate singles matches. Sophomore Jaime Jackson (Milwaukee, WI/Divine Savior-Holy Angels) was unable to make the trip to Beloit but accounted for both of the Foresters’ team points at Carthage. She and Richardson posted an 8-5 victory at number two doubles and Jackson defeated her number six singles opponent 6-4, 6-0. Lake Forest will complete the Midwest Conference South Division portion of its schedule Saturday (September 24) at home against Knox College.
