BELOIT, WI - Extending their winning streak to two, the Lake Forest women's tennis team clawed their way to a nail biting 5-4 win over host Beloit College. The win marked the Forester's first victory over the Buccaneers in the last 16 tries, dating all the way back to 1985.

After dropping her first set 1-6, freshman Greer Stenberg (Cape Elizabeth, ME/Cape Elizabeth) climbed her way back at number one singles (1-6, 6-2, 6-2) to add a crucial point. Freshman Madeline Harris (Wooster, OH/Wooster)endured a first set tiebreak to win at number five singles 7-6, 6-2 and clinch the match for the Foresters. Rounding out the scoring was senior Abbey Jennings (Logan, OH/Logan). Jennings remained perfect in her career at number six singles with her 6-1, 6-3 win.

The Foresters host a pair of crucial MWC South division matches this Saturday (September 24) when Knox College and Monmouth College come to town.
