Lake Forest Records 7-2 Victory at Benedictine University
Foresters will host Elmhurst College on Thursday

Molly Stapleton
LISLE, Ill. - The Forester women's tennis team won 7-2 at Benedictine University on Saturday (September 27). Lake Forest is now 5-6 on the season while the Eagles fell to 4-6.

Benedictine had just four players available for the match so the Foresters won at #3 doubles and #5 and #6 singles by forfeit.

The teams split the other two doubles matches. Lake Forest junior Viri Del Bosque (Rockford, Ill./Guilford) teamed with sophomore Natalie Atroshenko (Wheeling, Ill./Buffalo Grove) for an 8-5 victory at #2.

The visitors also posted three victories in singles play. Junior Molly Stapleton (St. Louis Park, Minn./Saint Louis Park) prevailed 6-3, 6-4 at #2 while sophomores Lauren and Michelle Stroner (Johnsburg, Ill./Johnsburg) won 6-2, 6-2 at #3 and #4, respectively.

The next two matches on the Foresters' schedule will be at home. The team will host Elmhurst College Thursday (October 2) at 3:00 and Robert Morris College will travel to Lake Forest the following Friday (October 10).
