Alli Berry Named Midwest Conference Performer of the Week
Freshman goes undefeated over the weekend

LAKE FOREST, IL - Lake Forest College women’s tennis player Alli Berry (Plymouth, MN/Robbinsdale Armstrong) was named Midwest Conference Performer of the Week Tuesday (September 28) after posting a 6-0 record in three Forester victories last weekend.

In an MWC South Division match on Saturday (September 25) against Illinois College, the freshman won 6-1, 6-1 at number one singles and helped notch a 6-0, 6-0 win at number one doubles. The Foresters’ 8-1 victory earned the team a berth in the MWC Team Championship Tournament for the sixth consecutive season.

Berry’s superb play continued on Sunday (September 26), as the freshman won a pair of matches at the number one position in singles and doubles play. In singles, she defeated her St. Norbert College opponent 6-1, 6-2, and registered an 8-2 win in doubles competition. Later that day, Berry helped defeat Beloit College’s number one doubles team 8-5 and earned a victory by default in singles to complete the perfect weekend.
