Foresters’ 9-0 Victory at Concordia is Team’s Fourth Straight Win
Only two matches remain on regular season schedule

MEQUON, WI - The Lake Forest College women’s tennis team routed Concordia University Wednesday (September 29) in Mequon, Wisconsin. The Foresters’ fourth consecutive victory raised their record on the year to 9-4 while the Falcons fell to 2-7.

Freshman Alli Berry (Plymouth, MN/Robbinsdale Armstrong) and junior Brittany Richardson (Little Rock, AR/Central) claimed an 8-0 triumph at number one doubles for their third win as partners in as many tries this year. Sophomores Anastasia Rudkovskaya (Buffalo Grove, IL/Buffalo Grove) and Kendal Wapotish (McHenry, IL/McHenry) teamed up at number two for an 8-2 victory and junior Jill Chudacoff (Highland Park, IL/Highland Park) joined freshman Jaime Jackson (Milwaukee, WI/Divine Savios-Holy Angels) at number three for an 8-0 win.

In singles, Berry prevailed 6-0, 6-3 at number one. Richardson defeated her counterpart 6-4, 6-1 at number two, Chudacoff won 6-3, 6-1 at number three, and Rudkovskaya cruised to a 6-1, 6-1 victory at number four. Wapotish did not surrender a game to the Falcons’ number five player and Jackson lost just one game in her 6-0, 6-1 win at number six.

Lake Forest has just two matches remaining on its regular season schedule. The Foresters will travel to Ripon College on Saturday (October 2) for an 11:00 a.m. contest and will visit Carroll College next Tuesday (October 5). The squad has already qualified for the four-team 2004 Midwest Conference Championship Tournament on Friday, October 15.
