LAKE FOREST, IL - In its final match of the season on the new home courts, the Lake Forest women's tennis team dominated visiting College of Lake County, winning 9-0.  The victory improved the Foresters' overall record to 9-2 as the team begins to prepare for the final two weeks of the season and the Midwest Conference Tournament.

Senior Jackie Pieczkiewicz (Greyslake, IL/Greyslake) won at number three singles (6-1, 6-2) to improve her season record to 10-0.  Pieczkiewicz's win also moved her within one victory of tying the school's all-time singles win record.  She currently holds the number two spot with 48 victories in her career.  Freshman Brittany Richardson (Little Rock, AR/Central) continued her stellar play, winning at number two singles (6-2, 6-3) and extending her season record to a perfect 9-0.  Sophomore Maren Haag (Moraga, CA/Campolindo) contributed with wins at number four singles (6-1, 6-1) and number two doubles (8-1), where she partnered with senior captain Angie Kral (Brookfield, WI/Central).  Kral's victory was the 65th in her career and moved her into a tie for third on the school's all-time overall win list.  In her debut at number five singles, Abbey Jennings (Logan, OH/Logan) won easily (6-0, 6-0).

Up next, Lake Forest will travel to Waukesha, Wisconsin on Tuesday (October 1st) for a non-conference match-up with MWC North division rival Carroll College.  The match will begin at 3:00 p.m.  The Foresters will then make the trip to Ripon, Wisconsin on Friday (October 4th) for another non-conference MWC match-up versus Ripon College, also scheduled to begin at 3:00 p.m.
