Abbey Jennings is the MWC Performer of the Week.
LAKE FOREST, IL - Lake Forest College women's tennis player Abbey Jennings (Logan, OH/Logan) was named Midwest Conference Performer of the Week Tuesday (September 30) for her contributions to the team's three victories over conference schools last week.

On Wednesday (September 24), the Foresters traveled to Beloit College and came away with a 5-4 victory, their first over the Buccaneers since the league championship match in 1999. Jennings triumphed in straight sets (6-1, 6-3) at number six singles.

Lake Forest hosted and defeated both Knox College and Monmouth College on Saturday (September 28). In the 7-2 victory over Knox, Jennings registered a 6-1, 6-2 victory at number six singles, where she is a perfect 4-0 this season and 12-0 with a conference title in her two-year collegiate career. In the later match, a 9-0 sweep of Monmouth, Jennings won 6-3, 6-1 in her first-ever appearance at number three singles and teamed with freshman Jill Chudacoff (Highland Park, IL/Highland Park) for an 8-6 victory at number two doubles.

Jennings is 8-2 overall this season in singles and 3-0 in doubles.
