Inducted 1987 ![]() He entered Lake Forest in 1946 and earned four varsity letters in baseball. Captain of the team every year, he led the conference in hitting in 1948 with a .435 average. He was also a member of Phi Pi Epsilon. The fraternity won several intramural championships in football, basketball, and bowling under his leadership. Graduating with an economics degree, Al spent a number of years as an executive with Sidney Wanzer & Sons and Borden Dairy Company before becoming president of Silver Cup Dairy, Inc.
