Rocky Tektumanidze Named Midwest Conference Performer of the Week
Junior posted convincing victories at Marian College

LAKE FOREST, Ill. - Lake Forest College men’s tennis player Rocky Tektumanidze (Riverwoods, Ill./Deerfield) was named Midwest Conference Performer of the Week on Tuesday (February 19) for his performance in the team’s 8-1 victory at Marian College on Sunday (February 17).

Tektumanidze teamed with sophomore Alex Presman (Deerfield, Ill/Deerfield) on an 8-1 victory at #1 doubles to open the meet. He then defeated Marian’s top singles player 6-1, 6-0.

The junior, who was injured for most of last season, now owns an 18-14 doubles record in his career and is 19-5 in two-plus seasons at the top spot in the Foresters’ singles lineup.

Midwest Conference Performers of the Week are selected by the league’s sports information director.
