Eric Crawley hopes to finish among the MWC's top 15 in 2002.
2002 Men's Cross Country Preview

LAKE FOREST, IL - The 2001 season was arguably the best in the program's seven-year history. Much of that success can be attributed to seniors Charles Evans and Joe Zemaitis who, in May, graduated from Lake Forest College with honors and 14 of the top 25 times ever run by the Foresters.

The cupboard is not bare, though, as Eric Crawley returns for his senior season on the verge of achieving All-Midwest Conference status. The newly appointed captain has four times among the program's top 20 himself.

Head coach Tina McDonie will be looking for breakthrough seasons from the other returning runners as well as contributions from some newcomers to match the output from the 2001 squad. "What Charles and the rest of the team accomplished last year made the season a lot of fun. While Eric is anxious to replace him up front, we'll need others to step up if we're going to continue to improve as a team."
