Sophomore Ryann Freeman (Northfield, Minn./Northfield) continued to lead the women's team, placing seventh overall with a season-best 6-kilometer time of 25:13. It was the 14th-fastest 6K time in team history. The next four runners on the team finished within 38 seconds of one another, led by sophomore Brecklind Golovich-Keie (East Jordan, Mich./Charlevoix), who was 33rd in the race with a time of 27:15. Freshman Kayla Ahlstrand (Grayslake, Ill./Grayslake Central) finished in a season-best 27:20, two places behind Golovich-Keie and ahead of senior Sarah Marrinan (Sauk Rapids, Minn./Cathedral), who posted a time of 27:34. Junior Stella Suhayda (Libertyville, Ill./Libertyville) was 41st in 27:53. Freshman Kelsey Small (Wallingford, Conn./Notre Dame) was the first Forester male to cross the finish line, having completed the 8-kilometer course in 40th place with a time of 28:59. Senior Andrew Hutchinson (Redwood City, Calif./Sequoia) was next on the team just four places and four seconds behind Small. Freshman Peter Sullivan (Lockport, Ill./Lockport) was 68th with a time of 30:31 and sophomore Michael Frederick () finished 77th in 31:10. Sophomore Evan Piermont (East Hampton, N.Y./East Hampton) rounded out the top five just two places and six seconds later. Lake Forest will travel to Winneconne, Wisconsin, next Saturday (October 18) for the UW-Oshkosh Brooks Invitational.
