Katie Snowden Named MWC Performer of the Week for Third Time in 2006
Senior defended her individual title at Forester Invitational

Lake Forest, Ill. - Lake Forest College cross country runner Katie Snowden (Toronto, Ontario/York Mills Collegiate Institution) was named Midwest Conference Performer of the Week on Tuesday (October 17) for her performance at the Forester Invitational on Saturday (October 14).

Snowden, a senior, defended her individual title at Lake Forest’s home meet by completing the 5-kilometer course in 19:04. It was the second-fastest time of both her career and the Forester program’s history. She beat the runner-up by 21 seconds. Lake Forest placed second in the team standings to Northwestern University.

Midwest Conference Performers of the Week are selected by the league’s sports information director. Snowden also earned the award on September 19 and October 3.
