The men's 8-kilometer race was first and senior Andrew Hutchinson (Redwood City, Calif./Sequoia) led Lake Forest with a career-best time of 27:06. He placed 256th in the 494-runner field with the 10th-fastest time in team history. Eight of the 10 Foresters in the race posted season-best times and all but three posted the fastest times of their careers. Freshman Kelsey Small (Wallingford, Conn./Notre Dame) was next on the squad in 358th place with a time of 27:58. Junior Tom Plonowski (Gurnee, Ill./Warren) was 379th in 28:28 and sophomore Michael Frederick (Winnetka, Ill./Roycemore School) 431st in 29:33. Freshman Peter Sullivan (Lockport, Ill./Lockport) rounded out the team's top five in 444th place with a time of 29:48. On the women's side sophomore Ryann Freeman (Northfield, Minn./Northfield) finished 134th out of 415 runners and her 6-kilometer time of 24:01 was the fourth-fastest mark in program history. All 13 Forester women in the race had season-best times and all but one ran the fastest times of their careers. Freshman Kayla Ahlstrand (Grayslake, Ill./Grayslake Central) was next on the squad in 305th place with a time of 26:27, which ranks 22nd in team history. Sophomore Brecklind Golovich Keie's (East Jordan, Mich./Charlevoix) 26:42 matched the 25th-best time in school history and was good for 312th place. Senior Sarah Marrinan (Sauk Rapids, Minn./Cathedral) finished 321st in 26:58 and freshman Allie Longenecker (Lee's Summit, Mo./Lee's Summit North) 336th in 27:24. After taking next weekend off from racing, Lake Forest will compete at the Midwest Conference Championship Meet the following Saturday (November 1). The event will begin at 11:00 a.m. and be hosted by Knox College at Lake Storey Park in Galesburg, Illinois. Lake Forest Results: Women | Men
