LAKE FOREST, IL - Lake Forest College cross country runner Katie Snowden (Toronto, ON/York Mills Collegiate Institution) was selected as the Midwest Conference's Performer of the Week Tuesday (October 7). On Thursday (October 9), the freshman was also chosen as the Forester Athlete of the Week.

The Foresters placed second in Saturday's (October 4) Warrior Invitational, hosted by Wisconsin Lutheran College. With a 5-kilometer time of 20:16, Snowden finished ahead of the other 44 runners to become the first female in the program's nine-year history to win a race.

Members of Lake Forest's women's team had placed as high as second twice in school history and third on three occasions, including Snowden's finish on September 6 at the Tom Barry Invitational.

Midwest Conference Performers of the Week are selected by the league's sports information directors. Forester Athlete of the Week voting is done by the members of the Athletic Department.
