Assistant Coach Brian La Belle

Coach La Belle begins his first season as an assistant coach for the Foresters.  He comes to the program after spending last year as an assistant coach at Southern Alberta Institute of Technology in Calgary, Alberta.  While at SAIT, La Belle helped guide the Trojans to a 34-11 record and reached as high as #4 in the national ranking.

Prior to his time at SAIT, La Belle spent three years (1998-2001) as the head varsity coach at his alma mater, Sir John A Macdonald Secondary School in Hamilton, Ontario.  During his final two years at SJAM, he led the team to the first two tournament titles in school history while developing two players who are currently playing at the collegiate level.

La Belle began his coaching career as the head Junior boys coach at SJAM from 1994 - 1998.  He took over a sub-.500 program and in just two years won the school's first City Championship in 1998, leading the team to a record of 13-1.

La Belle graduated in 1996 from Brock University in St. Catherine's, Ontario, where he earned his Bachelor of Business Economics degree.  He entered BU after completing a successful career at Sir John A MacDonald where he captained the team each of his five seasons and led the team from a one win season during his first year, to the school's first City Championship appearance during his final season.

Coach La Belle is involved in all phases of the Forester Program including recruiting, scouting, on-floor coaching and player development.
