2000-01 Coaching Staff
Assistant Coach Scott Rucker
Coach Rucker enters his fourth season (1997-present) as an assistant on Head Coach Chris Conger's staff.

During his three years at Lake Forest, the Foresters have made their first and second trips to the Midwest Conference Tournament (1998 and 2000) in school history and won the school's first-ever outright Conference Championship in 1999-2000 while compiling a school-record tying 17 wins (against just six losses).

Rucker came to Lake Forest in 1997 after graduating from Cornell College in Mount Vernon, Iowa with a Bachelor's degree in Biology and Fitness.

At the former Midwest Conference school, he was a three-time Academic All-Conference performer and twice led the team in scoring, including during his senior season when led the Rams in points, assists, and steals. Rucker was an All-Conference performer, team Most Valuable Player, and a finalist for the Paul K. Scott Award as Cornell's outstanding male athlete his senior year.

Rucker played for Gary Grace (1994-96) and former Lake Forest College Head Coach Ed Timm (1996-97) while at Cornell.

At Shenandoah High School in Shenandoah, Iowa, Rucker was a two-time All-State of Iowa selection (Des Moines Register and Iowa Newspaper Association) and the third leading scorer in the state his senior season after averaging 27.3 points per game. He finished his prep career as the third all-time leading scorer at SHS with over 1,000 points, establishing nine school records along the way.

After his senior season, Rucker played on the Southwest Iowa Select Team and represented the southwest quarter of the state in the Dr. Pepper All-Star Classic.

In the summer of 1997, Rucker established the Southwest Iowa Fundamentals Basketball Camp in his hometown of Shenandoah.

Rucker, who is currently pursuing his Master's degree, also serves as the Sports Information Director at Lake Forest College.
