Ed Kositzki Resigns as Head Coach at Lake Forest College
Foresters won 137 games and three conference titles under Coach “K”

LAKE FOREST, Ill. – Lake Forest College head men’s soccer coach Ed Kositzki announced his retirement Thursday (November 2) after 13 years with the program.

Kositzki finished his career with a 137-74-9 overall record and a 82-32-6 mark in Midwest Conference play. His Foresters captured league championships in 1995, 1996, and 2001 and qualified for the four-team conference tournament in all but three of his seasons. He was named the league’s Coach of the Year following his first two titles and again in 2000.

With the 2006 end-of-season awards yet to be handed out, Kositzki’s players have earned 52 all-conference selections, including 28 first team distinctions. They have also garnered 26 academic all-conference awards.

Kositzki was also a successful high school coach prior to his tenure at Lake Forest College. He posted a 257-127-53 record at the high school level with six district, four conference, and two sectional championships. His teams also made a pair of state finals appearances.

His overall coaching record in high school and college is 394-201-62.
