2002-03 Women's Swimming & Diving Preview

LAKE FOREST, IL - At the 2002 Midwest Conference Championships, for the 20th consecutive season, the Forester women's swimming & diving team placed among the league's top three teams. While no other team in the league can boast of such a distinguished tradition, Head Coach Alec Webster is looking to put the Foresters back on top.

"We always win our share of individual events at conference [six in 2002] and we will continue to do that," Webster states. "To win the team title, we need to add some depth."

Lake Forest lost just one swimmer to graduation, and returns sophomore Emily Woods, who won all three of her individual events at the 2002 MWC Championship as well as seniors Erin Motzer and Erin Poynter, who each had three top-five finishes, and Dana Tate, the 1M diving champion.

"We've got the foundation to be successful," continues Webster. "With a few talented additions and a lot of hard work, we'll be able to contend for the conference championship and make some waves at the national meet as well."
