Assistant Coach Ian Peckler The 2008 season is assistant coach Ian Peckler's first on the Forester staff. Peckler finished his playing career at NCAA Division I Ball State University while attending graduate school last spring. He is the Cardinals' all-time leader with 1,052 digs and earned First Team All-Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association honors as a senior after being named to the league's second team the previous two years. Peckler, a libero, also earned Second Team All-American accolades from the American Volleyball Coaches Association in 2007. Ball State was 77-44 overall and 36-16 in the MIVA during his career. Peckler is a graduate of nearby Vernon Hills High School where he was a three-time All-North Suburban Conference selection and the North Shore Player of the Year as a senior. Pecker also played three years for Adversity Volleyball Club and helped the team place ninth in the nation in 2002 and 2003. He is currently a teacher's aide in the Special Education Department at Deerfield High School.
