Foresters Fall in First Round of NCAA Tournament
Elmhurst takes Lake Forest in three games

WHITEWATER, WI - Elmhurst College defeated Lake Forest College in three games (15-4, 15-7, 15-1) during Thursday's (November 9th) first round of the NCAA Volleyball Championship Tournament.

Elmhurst (34-7), the third seed in the Midwest Region, beat the Foresters for the second time this season.

Lake Forest (23-6) had their 12-match winning streak, which began on October 7th after a loss to Elmhurst, snapped. The Foresters were the sixth seed in this year's tournament. 

Junior Angela Lagerman (Menomonee Falls, WI/Menomonee FallsMenomonee Falls, WI/Menomonee Falls) led the Foreters with seven kills and one block. Senior Amanda Taylor (Chico, CA/Pleasant Valley) added six kills and eight digs, while Chrissy Laurine (Richmond, IL/Richmond-Burton) led the team with 12 digs.

Kim Meyer paced Elmhurst, who will now face UW-River Falls in the second round, with 13 kills and 13 digs.
