Senior Ashley Cretacci (Mundelein, Ill./Mundelein) led all players in the match against Lawrence with 19 kills. She also added a career-high 22 digs and a pair of aces. Classmate Amy Chappuis (Ann Arbor, Mich./Ann Arbor Huron) was next on the squad with eight kills and, with no attack errors in 18 attempts, finished the match with a .444 hitting percentage. She also led the team with three blocks. Sophomore Deena Blanchard (Sparta, Mich./Sparta) led the Foresters with 15 assists and senior Lisa Sturgill (Sheboygan, Wis./Sheboygan South) broke her own school record with 46 digs. Sophomore Nicole Leonard (Thousand Oaks, Calif./Chaminade College Prep.) chipped in with a career-high 25 digs. Cretacci led Lake Forest again with 13 kills and added 15 digs against Edgewood. Blanchard recorded a team-high 10 assists, senior Ashleigh Martinez (Chula Vista, Calif./Hilltop) and freshman Theresa Converse (Warrentown, Va./Notre Dame Academy) had three aces apiece, and Sturgill finished with 31 digs. The Foresters will play four consecutive Midwest Conference matches to close out the regular season, beginning at home Friday night (October 24) against Illinois College (7:00 p.m.).
