Nicole Baich
Lake Forest, Ill. - Lake Forest College volleyball player Nicole Baich (Westchester, Ill/Nazareth Academy) was named Forester Athlete of the Week on Thursday (October 19) for her performance in a pair of Midwest Conference victories the previous Saturday (October 14).

Baich, a junior, recorded 20 kills in the Foresters’ three-game win over Lawrence University to start the day. She committed no errors in 34 attempts for a .588 hitting percentage and also added three blocks. The 20 kills were just one shy of the school record for a three-game match.

Later in the day, Lake Forest knocked off St. Norbert College in four games and Baich pounded out a career-high 23 kills. She posted a .419 hitting percentage in the match and added three more blocks.

Baich ranks second on the team with 308 kills on the season and leads the squad with 110 blocks.

The Forester Athlete of the Week is selected by the Athletic Department on Thursdays. Baich also earned the award once last fall.
