AMANDA TAYLOR SELECTED MWC CO-PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Lake Forest College junior Amanda Taylor, a 5-10
outside hitter from Chico, CA (Pleasant Valley High School), has been selected
as the Midwest Conference South Division Co-Player
of the Week. She shares the honor with Jaime Jones of Monmouth (IL)
College. Taylor helped Lake Forest improve to 13-9 overall and 3-0 in the
MWC South Division with a 15-10, 15-11, 15-2 over Knox on Oct. 22, Lake
Forest's only action of the week. In the three-game win, she had a hitting
percentage of .360, 2 aces, 11 kills, 3 blocks, and 6 digs. Her 11 kills
led the team.
The Foresters need a win this Saturday (Oct.
30) versus Illinois College to complete a perfect MWC regular season schedule
and earn the South Division's top seed at the MWC Championship Tournament
on November 5-6 at Ripon. Lake Forest took fifth place at last year's MWC
Tournament and won the conference championship in 1997. |
